The 1A podcast is doing a series on gaming and I've been listening to the first episode: the1a.org/gamemode
It's really good! This podcast continues to amaze me with the diversity and depth of their content. They also have Markiplier on the first episode as a pane guest lol.
I don't know if I have enough nerd juice for another video game podcast. Sell me on it or recommend a good episode when they come along.
1A isn't a video game podcast. I'm not sure how best to describe it, but Joshua Johnson (the main host) brings in a bunch of experts from the field (or occasionally just one person if they're talking about a book that person wrote) to discuss a topic. He asks hard hitting questions, makes sure things are explained well, and allows listeners to add their thoughts and questions.
Some awesome episodes that got me hooked:
- Apollo 11 book interview/discussion
- Fines and fees and the problems with Chicago
- Interview with Bernie Sanders
- Discussion about MTV's Are You The One
I love that he brings in diverse voices with different viewpoints about a certain topic. They're doing a couple-episode series on gaming that I think was meant to coincide with E3.
