Ok, the more I think about it, the more I'm interested in that period of time in the lore. Post-seven-hour-war or whatever Earth with human resistance would definitely be a cool place to explore.

I always wanted to see the seven hour war itself. They could do a HL: Opposing Force-esque game where you're a combine soldier in the war 🤔

After diving into the wiki pages and such, this period of time is what actually sold me on Half-Life as a narrative franchise, for however much that actually ended up being worth.
