    Nike's CEO is stepping down to the board of directors in January and fellow boardmember John Donahoe will be taking over. Mark Parker is a longtime Nike vet, like late 70s Nike shoe designer turned CEO/Prez, so for this to be Donahoe's resume is really interesting:

    God what a history. I don't even want to know how much this guy makes, though I'd be fascinated to see a day in his life.

    This is actually pretty common, believe it or not. The CEO of the company I work for (Tanya Domier) is on the board of directors for at least two other companies (Nordstrom's is one for sure, can't remember the other off the top of my head).

    EDIT:

    A quick dig around Google reveals she was also the COO for Smucker's for a few years before she became CEO boss lady.
