Okay, here I go again ranting about sports (mostly football) and how stupid dumdum it can be. I'll start with NFL

Nothing really about the Seahawks, they managed to have another ugly win, this time defeating Baker Mayfield, who according to sources with close contacts with him in the OU athletics world, loved to hoover some schneef back in his day....take with that info what you will. However, they did manage to have THE BEST TD celebration so far this year.
Now the REAL GAME OF THE WEEK WAS THE TAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK BOOOOOOOOOWL. What's a tank bowl you ask? Well the rules are rather simple. Both teams in said game have no hope to have a winning season, so they "tank" in order to get the overall #1 (or just better) pick in the upcoming draft. In 2012 is was #SuckForLuck for the Miami Dolphins, who lost out on that chance to the Indianapolis Colts. Now, they played the Washington [redacted]'s (who I talked about last week and how they fired their coach), who are ALSO winless. This is the Tank Bowl end all Tank Bowls. This year, it is #TankForTua, Alabama's star left handed QB. I was a game that went down to the wire with Miami losing by failing to convert a 2-point PAT. There has been an epidemic of bad referee-ing this year in the NFL. Most recently in the awful calls in the Detroit/Green Bay game. Two wrong "Hands to the Face" calls kept Aaron Rodgers and the Packers alive in this game to come back from behind to win, Thankfully it has lead to this video being oddly relevant...
The Nationals Swept the cardinals in 4 games to advance to the World Series. This leaves the Seattle Mariners as the only team in the MLB to NEVER have gone to the World Series. Here we have a live look into the Factory of Sadness that is the Mariners organization...
Lebron James has tossed his hat into the China Government/Hong Kong Saga. “I believe he was misinformed and not educated on the situation,” LeBron James said on the Morey tweet. Morey is the GM for the Houston Rockets who publicly criticized the CCP and their oppression of Hong Kong. This has lead to a ton of backlash onto LeBron and the League. Thankfully the NBA did someting right in all of this, and even though they lost a bunch of TV deals and marketing deals on Mainland China, they are still standing up for the right thing.
Lastly, the largest rowing race in the world, the Head of the Charles Regatta (HOCR) is in Boston this weekend. 600,000 will be on the banks of the river watching anyone and everyone race down the 3 mile long course. Every year, Row2k.com, the rowing world's only real publication, publishes a "Rumor Mill" post. It's very good. A lot of it is mostly rowing-specific inside jokes, but there are some good gems to find. My favs in particular is: "The College Board is requiring all students who were admitted as fake recruits to row together in an eight. Don't worry they're all club eligible #WheresAuntBecky" and "Anyone spotted with single use plastic will have an automatic 10 second penalty added to their time."
