As I think about the duality of Man, I cant help but to be drawn to the College Football Playoffs. This post will mostly be a college football, I'll do a recap of the world of the NFL and other sports after this week's games. The college football regular season is over. Conference champions have been crowned, and the bowl games have been set. I dare not go through each bowl game one by one, but I'll hit on the important ones.
The die is cast, the Final Rankings for this year are out, which means that the Final Four facing off for the title of National Champion are the Louisiana State University Tigers, THE Ohio State Buckeyes, the Clemson University Tigers, and the University of Oklahoma Sooners.
Topped ranked LSU is led by their enigmatic, bayou-born head coach, Ed Orgeron and their Heisman likely QB Joe Burrow. In the first Semi-Final, they will play 4th ranked Oklahoma Sooners, who are lead by Jalen Hurts, the only player to go to 4 straight college play-offs (3 with Alabama and 1 with OU).
In the other Semi-Final is THE Ohio State University, who are on a tear led by D-Lineman Chase Young, who was suspended for 4 games this year and STILL is the Defensive Player of the Year. They will tilt against the reigning, defending, undisputed, undefeated NCAA Champions Brock Lesnar Clemson Tigers! This year has been to tight at the top of the field, Clemson has won every single one of their games handily, yet are STILL ranked 3rd at the end of the year. First time that has ever happened.
The Big Day for bowl games is New Years day, commonly known as the New Years 6. However, since 2 of them are now Semi Finals for the Playoff Championship, it is now the New Years 4. Here's a pic of my picks:
Lastly, the most important game of all time is being played THIS weekend. It is the USMA Army-West Point vs. the US Naval Academy. It is steeped in tradition, and the most bad-ass trash-talk of any sports rivalry. 1 2 3 This last one is pretty "boot", but still good.
Go Army Beat Navy
