    Per our other thread on Google's dead products, it looks like Angular will release one more version and then be on LTS until 2021.

    This is a pretty big blow to the JS framework sphere I imagine. I mean it feels like React pulled out in front a while ago, but I'm surprised to see Google throw in the towel here. Interested to hear @boomerJuice95 and @pooplol's thoughts on this.

    I tried learning a little angular, but it still makes a lot less sense to me. I don't think this is necessarily good nor bad for JavaScript. React has just so much market share... Leave it to Google tho.

    One of the other things that helps React I think is the whole framework vs library thing - with a framework you have to do stuff their way, whereas with a library you can incorporate it how you wish. I think the library was destined to win in the end, just because of its extensibility (regardless of who was behind it).
