For those of you who may not have been following the campaign trail, Pete Buttigieg (presidential hopeful and current mayor of South Bend, Indiana) has made some impressively stupid moves recently.
Like when he sent out an email to a number of people (some of which who had never even endorsed his campaign), saying that if they didn't opt out by 4pm that day he would add them to the list of black people who endorse his Douglas Plan. The same Douglas Plan that used a stock image of a woman from Kenya as part of its main header. The kicker - nearly half of the people this email was sent to are white.
In more recent social media episodes, he:
- visited students in New Orleans but somehow missed meeting any black students when the population is by a significant majority, black
- visited the Holocaust Museum in Germany and snapped a very VSCO photo, looking good Pete ;)
- taught an English class at a high school? who knows why, but the photos speak volumes
The list goes on! My favorite recent development is this glorious dance to the tune of Panic at the Disco's "High Hopes" that has become apparently a focal point for his campaign.
